Mrs. Lasseter began her career in financial institutions. After much consideration, she decided to leave and work for her family company. Once her family sold their business, she began her career in development in the non-profit world. She worked for the PARA Foundation, raising money in the private sector for youth sports, First-Tee, and therapeutic recreation. Her biggest accomplishment was raising 2.8 million dollars for Tuscaloosa’s first All-Inclusive Playground. This is a place no matter their abilities can come together and play. 

Mrs. Lasseter has always had a passion for education. Her fundraising efforts for schools started back at the RISE Center. She helped raise over $200,000 a year at an annual golf tournament and $30,000 at the annual Buy for Rise Event. Once her children started in the city school system, she immediately became involved in her children’s school PTA. She served on their board as Fundraising Co-Chair and President. 

Mrs. Lasseter is married to Lake Lasseter, and they have 2 children: daughter Sarah Nelle and son Edward. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family and friends. She also loves to watch her daughter dance and her son play soccer and baseball. She believes that learning and growth are paramount to a positive attitude, a collaborative spirit, and a life of meaning.
